Coffee is Coming to Royal Bay!

One of the most common comments GableCraft receives from Royal Bay residents is that they would like to have access to food and coffee services sooner than rather later. As a result, GableCraft is applying to the City of Colwood for approval of a temporary establishment that will offer coffee and light fare, outdoor seating and walk-up and drive-thru access, as well as a small food truck court, while construction of the Commons is underway. If approved, the temporary coffee shop and food truck park could open early in 2020.

Located in the same location as the proposed temporary coffee shop – on the southside of Latoria Boulevard at Ryder Hesjedal Way – a one-day “pop-up” shop was hosted in October, and included Burger Crush food truck and Sequoia Coffee, accompanied by local musicians An&Ben Music.

GableCraft is pleased to be working on the temporary establishment with Sequoia Coffee, a local partnership between 2% Jazz and Truffles Catering. The feedback received from the community will help further inform the temporary use permit application that has already been submitted to the City of Colwood.
