Royal Bay Playground Coming in 2020

Meadow Park, Royal Bay’s planned 11-acre system of interconnected parks and trails, will receive a children’s playground in the second half of 2020. The highly-anticipated family gathering place will be built in the second phase of park construction in close proximity to the new GableCraft HomeStore location. In addition to the playground, Meadow Park North will also include thousands of new trees and shrubs, a new pedestrian bridge, and a rain gardens. The area where the park will be located is to be named Meadow Park Green.

“The development of the Meadow Park Green area was based on the productive, positive feedback we’ve received from Royal Bay’s growing contingent of young families,” said Ben Mycroft, Senior Development Manager at Royal Bay. “We’ve consciously designed the area to encourage unstructured play for our young residents through the addition of both a playground and a wide open central green space to the Royal Bay community. These new features are sure to encourage family- friendly community gathering for years to come.”

The Meadow Park Playground will be built in partnership with Kinsol Timber Systems, and will include swings, a slide, wooden climbing structures, a full zip line, and a large tire swing. These playground elements were specifically included to encourage a diverse range of ages to come and enjoy. Aesthetically, the playground will fit in with its natural surroundings through an attractive wooden design.
